Santa Visit 2009...

So, Maddie has been saying "ho ho ho" to every Santa she has seen in the past couple of weeks.

"Maybe I like Santa."

"I don't think I like Santa."

"What is Santa made of?"

"Eh, he's alright."

 "I love this guy!"

"I really REALLY love this guy!"

Phew, we made it.

Merry CHRISTmas!

Miss Maddie...

Sorry we have been slacking on posting lately.  Let's do a quick recap of the last 3 months...

Jeff: Finished football!!! Mt Spokane made it to the quarter finals, it was fun to watch them do so well but I am glad to have my husband back :) Jeff has nearly finished the framing downstairs, we are now getting ready for the electrical, plumbing, and soon drywall. Jeff is now on Christmas break for the next two weeks (which I am very jealous of by the way). Actually I am glad he has some time off, because he needs to practice putting in piggy tails, he has tried twice to no avail.

Karissa: Still working my same schedule in the NICU and loving it. I love getting to spend so much time with Maddie. I have been couponing like a mad woman and have been busy with my other blog: www.confessionsofacouponaholic.com

Maddie: Started walking a couple weeks ago and continued with her non-stop talking. Her favorite words are Mommy, Daddy, Bath, Doggy, Nilsy, Miiiilk, Wada, Pretties, NiNight, Hiii, Byebye, Ball, Elmo, Grammie, Debbie, Grnmpa, Naack (snack), MMMwha (kisses), All done, and many more all while giving a charming smile and showing her dimples. Early signs show that she will be a great reader as she loves to turn the pages and point to the pictures. I am already expecting to get a "talks at inappropriate times" on her report cards :) She somehow finds the way to be the center of attention in any situation...she is our sunshine!

We will strive to post more frequently not only to keep you updated but to keep better record of our activities.

Pretty Shoes...

Maddie loves "pretties," which include: pretty shoes, pretty necklaces, and anything else deemed "pretty." This latest "pretty" happened today while I was asleep. Jeff and Maddie were lounging throughout the house fending off their sicknesses, and Maddie was providing comic relief. As my mom loves to say, "She is a sugar pill." Check out the latest:

I have a confession...

Alright...it's time for me to come out of the closet. It is official, I am obsessed with coupons!

cou⋅pon⋅ing–noun

1. the practice of distributing discount coupons to consumers as a form of product promotion.
2. the activity of seeking out or saving discount coupons to save money on food or household purchases.

I started "couponing" last May. I began by reading local blogs, then went to a "couponing" seminar, then subscribed to the local Sunday & Wednesday paper. It only escalates from there. I seriously get a thrill from walking out of numerous stores with bags of free or close-to-free groceries, necessities (deodorant, toothpaste, etc.) and baby supplies (diapers, wipes, etc.). I have started a second blog to talk about my obsession and show you ideas of things I get for free and amazing deals at local stores. The idea of using coupons for me, is so I can save money on things our family needs to spend more on things our family wants. Check out: confessionsofacouponaholic.com to see what I am talking about. Watch out, you will be hooked before you know it!
